The Pedestal AstroLift is designed for alt-az or equatorially mounted fork or German telescopes weighing up to 250 pounds.
The telescope shown here is a Meade 14” LX200GPS. It can be used visually or in an observatory application and is designed to be either transportable or permanently mounted. It can be rolled to the observing site (from the garage to the driveway) or can be housed in an observatory. In the visual application, the Pedestal AstroLift is designed to allow the observer of different observation heights, whether sitting or standing, to view comfortably through the eyepiece of the telescope.
This feature is especially handy for wheelchair-bound individuals.
In the observatory application, the Pedestal AstroLift is used to raise the telescope above the observatory wall to view astronomical objects above the horizon. Learn more...
